The Magic Show
Sunny Bank Mills, Leeds

A collaborative exhibition between Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre & Pyramid of Arts, building on the success of previous exhibitions with disabled and neurodivergent artists at the Mills. This will be an immersive take-over of the Gallery and artists from both groups will be responding to the theme of magic. Think magicians’ hats, wizards, mythical creatures, spells and illusions.

Pyramid View On… John Atkinson Grimshaw
Leeds Art Gallery

Featuring artwork created and curated by Pyramid member artists and inspired by the distinctive nocturnal scenes of 19th-century Leeds-born artist John Atkinson Grimshaw. The project celebrated the atmospheric transition from dusk to night-time, a recurring theme in Grimshaw’s work. It was held in ArtSpace at Leeds Art Gallery.

Leeds Summer Group Show
Leeds Playhouse

The tenth anniversary of the Leeds Summer Group Show, an open-call exhibition founded in 2015. What began as a small independent exhibition became a much-anticipated annual showcase, providing a platform for emerging and established artists alike. It took place at Leeds Playhouse, a vibrant cultural venue in the heart of Leeds city centre. With its commitment to creativity, accessibility and community, it provided the perfect setting for this eclectic exhibition.

Seagulls Reuse
10th -17th October 2024
A Next Step group exhibition embracing recycled paint from Seagulls Reuse and second-hand school stools. It celebrated creativity with reused materials to create unique artworks.

Seagull Birthday Beach Party - Seagulls Reuse, Leeds - April 2025-Present
A seagull beach party artwork to celebrate Seagulls Paint's 25th birthday! It can be spotted in it's bright orange frame in the entrance to Seagulls Reuse.
Jumping Fox - Coppice Valley Primary School - November 2024
Illustration to support children at Coppice Valley Primary School to extend their sentences. Alexander designed a joyful, exuberantly dressed, jumping Fox to serve as a stimulus for Year One children to increase their use of descriptive words in their English Language lessons.
Easter Illustration - The Unity- April 2021
Personalised Easter egg hunt bags for families supported by The Unity, a local charity for neurodiverse and differently abled children. Alexander designed the Easter illustrations which were printed on the fabric bags. The illustration was designed so that the recipients could colour in themselves and practice their fine motor skills.
Enchanticas - June 2020
Alexander created a number of dinosaur images to be used for Enchanticas Rising Stars online yoga and wellbeing classes during covid. Once classes could physically take place post covid, these designs were made into hand held props and work sheets. They were used in both Enchanticas classes and in accessible yoga and storytime sessions at RHS Harlow Carr for The Unity charity’s families living with neurodiversity and disabilities.
